Covanta Onondaga and the Southwood Fire Department together helped deliver some much needed holiday spirit to local children this December. Using a donation from the facility, Santa was escorted around on a fire truck to deliver candy canes and ornaments to kids in the Jamesville, NY area.

The event, a tradition for nearly two decades, could not take place in its usual form due to health and safety considerations, but was still a success thanks to the Covanta team and SWFD. Employees from the facility also regularly help out SWFD with safety training throughout the year.
