Covanta Honolulu, also known as H-POWER, held its annual design contest this past February for the 2021 safety sticker for the facility. The winning sticker was created by Environmental Engineer Katelyn Asato.
Employees will receive the 2021 sticker after completing annual safety training and will place it on their hard hats. Besides fostering a sense of accomplishment among employees in promoting safe practices, the stickers allow for easy verification of whether everyone working is up to date on training – practical and stylish! Safety is Covanta’s number one priority and it is a key part of keeping the facility running so that the surrounding communities can continue to rely on this essential service.
