In the spirit of Earth Day, Covanta York employees joined together in May to clean-up portions of a local trail. The York County Heritage Rail Trail runs partly adjacent to the facility and extends more than 21 miles in southern York County, Pennsylvania. The trail provides local communities with a car-free path for enjoying nature through running, cycling, walking, and even cross country skiing and snow-shoeing during the winter months!
In total, employees collected over 800 pounds of trash during the cleanup! The team’s work will make traveling scenic path that much more pleasant for all.
