Covanta hosted a booth outside the Virginia State Capitol to encourage awareness and participation in this important annual event. The team distributed prescription medicine mail back envelopes and welcomed a special visitor – Glenn Youngkin, Governor of Virginia.

Through our efforts on National Drug Take-Back Day, we partner with local municipalities to help dispose of unwanted medications safely and securely. To date, we have destroyed millions of pounds of drugs – preventing these materials from harming the vulnerable and the environment.
