Covanta Huntington spent an amazing day at Woodbine Marina with the folks from town of Huntington, Rotary of Huntington and Cornell Cooperative Suffolk. The Huntington/ Northport Oyster Reef Project is a partnership committed to improving water quality through habitat restoration of oyster reefs in the Huntington/ Northport Bay.
The day was spent helping to establish spawner sanctuaries that will spread oyster throughout the entire areas waterbody that will improve water quality and promote species diversity.
