August 9, 2023

Covanta Babylon recently joined Operation SPLASH in a marine debris cleanup of Long Island’s south shore waterways. The employees successfully removed a few hundred pounds of debris from the marshes near Lindenhurst, NY. Operation Splash, which is based out of Freeport, NY, has removed more than three million pounds of trash from local waters since its founding in 1990 and has influenced environmental legislation aimed at improving marine environments throughout New York State.
