Financial Investments for a More Sustainable World
Every day our sustainable processes divert waste from landfills, which prevents the production of the climate-damaging gas methane. But why stop there? We don't. In fact, we are continuously improving our operations. Over the last 10 years, we've invested half a billion dollars into our sites to stay on the cutting edge of technology to further vanquish greenhouse gasses.
Protecting the Future
In everything we do, we aim to protect tomorrow. That includes educating future STEM leaders about the importance of our state-of-the-art facilities and how they can combat climate change. To date, we've had nearly 165,000 students visit our sites, sponsored school recycling programs and supported environmental clubs, like the Garden Club in East Meadow, NY.
Supporting Real Actions for Communities
We are committed to measurable action to protect the communities we serve and operate in. Our industry-first environmental justice policy served as a national model and over a decade later this policy continues to evolve to guide our community engagement. We were also one of the first companies to support the landmark environmental justice legislation in New Jersey, which aims to address the cumulative environmental impacts in overburdened areas.
