Veterans Stand Down

Covanta Hempstead served as a premier sponsor of Nassau County’s Veterans Spring Stand Down, held at the Freeport Armory in Freeport, NY. Veterans were offered food and essential clothing items, as well as information about housing and peer counseling. The need for these services is particularly significant on Long Island where there are more than 95,000 veterans.
