Covanta to the Rescue
The Rahway Food For Friends (RFFF) were short on volunteers and needed assistance with their weekly soup kitchen. The RFFF called Covanta Union for help and employees showed up, ready to work. Covanta’s employees helped by keeping the kitchen clean and sorting recyclables.
Easter Dinner for Seniors
Covanta Union sponsored an Easter dinner event for local Rahway seniors, where Covanta collaborated with Beginning World Changers by supplying food, drinks and dessert.
Easter Meals for Local Families in Need
Rahway Community Action Organization and Covanta Union partnered to feed 100 local families, where Covanta employees joined a host of senior volunteers to package food in reusable bags.
Gift Donations for Local Children
The Covanta Union facility spread holiday cheer to local children through donations of gifts with the help of two local organizations. Employees delivered toys to Rahway Food for Friends and the Ebenezer AME Church for distribution to kids in need.

Thanksgiving Meals
The Covanta Union facility was asked by the Rahway Community Action Organization to sponsor a Thanksgiving meal for local residents. Facility employees volunteered to package the meals in Covanta reusable bags. Because of this collaboration, 85 families were able to enjoy a healthy holiday feast.
