Covanta Tulsa employees also gave the gift of life during World Blood Donor Day in June. The Oklahoma Blood Institute sent its bloodmobile to the facility to allow employees and family members to donate blood, with about 20 people taking part.

Covanta Tulsa donated over 300 pounds of supplies to Iron Gate on Archer, Tulsa's largest stand-alone soup kitchen and grocery pantry. The supplies, which included food and hygiene items, helped the homeless in the community.
Covanta Tulsa donated over 175 goodie bags to Eugene Field Elementary School students. There was a need for pencil sharpeners, but the team took the extra step to make the bags a little more fun. They included special pencils, fun erasers, colorful note pads, cool stickers and snacks!
