The Covanta Hempstead facility donated essential clothing items to the Mary Brennan Inn located in Hempstead, NY.  The Inn provides a broad variety of essential services to assist those challenged by hunger, homelessness and profound poverty.

The Covanta Hempstead facility sponsored the Run for Heroes held in September at Baldwin Park.  Assemblywoman Judy Griffin organizes the event, and money raised will go to veteran posts within her district.
