Covanta Dublin subsidized a new river sweeper boat through its Community Gain Fund, which will be used to clean debris from the River Liffey in Dublin.
Project Director Kieran Mullins and Director of Operations Donal Fanning took a ride aboard the newly sponsored ship, which is one of the first environmental projects sponsored by the Community Gain Fund. Debris collected by the river sweeper will be either recycled or sent to the facility for energy recovery.
