Covanta Hempstead continued a 32-year tradition by sponsoring the Town of Hempstead’s annual recycling-themed Poster Contest. Students from schools within the town competed for the chance to win great prizes and the opportunity to have their artwork displayed on town garbage trucks. Covanta representatives joined with local officials to host the awards ceremony which was held at Levy Preserve in Merrick, NY on Earth Day, handing out certificates, T-shirts and prizes.
