All four Long Island facilities, including Covanta Babylon, Hempstead, Huntington, and MacArthur, together continued their longstanding commitment to veterans on the island through work with Wreaths Across America. Covanta’s Waste-to-Energy facilities on the island have sustainably and respectfully disposed of thousands of wreaths lain at veterans’ graves during the holiday season.
Wreaths Across America is a national nonprofit organization, which was founded in 2007 with the mission to help remember the fallen, and honor them, while teaching the next generation about the value of freedom.
