Covanta’s Long Island facilities (Covanta Babylon, Covanta Hempstead, Covanta Huntington and Covanta MacArthur) sponsored Island Harvest’s Turkey and Trimmings collection campaign. Island Harvest is the largest food bank on L.I. and this event helps to supply holiday meals to needy families throughout the community. In addition to all of the food collected by the facilities, Covanta presented a check for $10,000 to help support the organization’s ongoing programs.
