Covanta Essex was excited to host its first official Open Meeting for 2021! Local community members and stakeholders were invited to join employees from the facility at the Blueprint Café, right down the road from the facility in Newark, for some refreshments and discourse.
The Open Meetings are an important opportunity to create spaces for meaningful dialogue with the community, and to provide useful information to stakeholders about waste-to-energy and its many environmental and economic benefits. These events are essential for fulfilling our commitment to maintain open channels of communication with neighbors. We all look forward to the Essex facility’s next Open Meeting!
