Covanta Honolulu (also known as H-POWER) employees celebrated Earth Day by partnering with Protectors of Paradise, a local non-profit, to help clean up trash along the west side of O’ahu. Schnitzer Steel was also involved, donating a can as well as hauling services to transport the waste to H-POWER after the event.
All told, the group managed to remove over 1.5 tons of garbage left along a road that connects Kea’au Beach to Makua! Mahalo to all who volunteered!
