Discussing the Future of Waste

April 21, 2023

Covanta’s Long Island facilities (Covanta Babylon, Covanta Hempstead, Covanta Huntington and Covanta MacArthur) sponsored a symposium at Stony Brook University, presented by the Evan R. Liblit Memorial Scholarship Committee. The gathering addressed how Long Island will address its waste in future years, incorporate new recycling and waste technologies and fund needed infrastructure. In addition to sponsoring the symposium, Covanta sent several representatives to the event.
