Covanta Tulsa teamed up with Goodr to help families facing food insecurity in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by hosting a pop-up grocery market.
The pop-up grocery market provided 250 families with healthy food options for a week's worth of groceries. Fresh food included ground beef, fish, lunch and breakfast meats, shelf-stable items, eggs, bread, fresh fruits and vegetables, beverages, and more. This effort supported many Tulsa area families struggling with the rise of inflation and mounting supply chain issues.
The Goodr Foundation is a full-scale waste management and hunger relief company that provides food to millions of people across the United States and redirects millions of pounds of food waste away from landfills.
