Employees at Covanta Honolulu (H-POWER) stepped up and met the #Trashtag Challenge this past April! The Challenge was designed by Covanta’s Sustainability Employee Resource Group (ERG) to encourage individual facilities to hold cleanup events within their communities.
From the beaches of Hawaii to the marshes of Long Island, at least 17 events took place across all of Covanta’s facilities, with more still on the way. This effort led by the Sustainability ERG, began with the Zero Waste Challenge earlier in April, during which employees across Covanta ‘reduced, reused, recycled, and recovered’ their way to more sustainable individual lifestyles.
