Camden Gets in the Holiday Spirit

This holiday season, Covanta Camden donated to the Cathedral Kitchen, the largest emergency food provider in Camden, which serves more than 100,000 meals a year in addition to providing job training and other essential services to Camden residents. The facility also purchased gift cards for Aldi and Price Rite to be distributed to families that attend food distribution events at Yorkship Family School and HB Wilson Family School.

Still in the spirit, facility held a holiday luncheon for employees catered by the Cathedral Kitchen as well! For every 40 meals ordered by the facility, Cathedral Kitchen donated a meal to a Camden resident in need! In addition to supporting those in need of nourishment , the facility conducted its annual toy drive this holiday season to ensure a bright holiday season for local children. Donated toys were delivered to Heart of Camden, a local non-profit group who will distribute the toys. Pictured below are Covanta employees including Facility Manager Todd Frace (crouching, right) with Heart of Camden representatives, with the donated toys.
