In a city better known for breath-taking waterfalls than recycled cardboard, Greenpac Mill, LLC was built using lean principles, the latest technology and with the goal of having the smallest environmental footprint possible. Created by Cascades, Inc. in partnership with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Jamestown Container and Containerboard Partners, the new mill in Niagara Falls, NY produced its first roll of 100 percent recycled linerboard, a thin cardboard used for the flat facings of corrugated containerboard, in July 2013, after 22 months of construction.
